Twitch removes Bitcoin as payment for subscriptions

Yahoo-backed crypto exchange, Taotao will start trading in May
According to Cointelegraph, Taotao, which is owned 40% by Yahoo!Japan will initially start trading with ETH, BTC. Later on, the exchange plans to add margin position for another three coins: LTC, BCH, and XRP. At the moment, users can already sign up to participate in the current giveaway campaign.

In the recent press release, Rakuten Wallet has finished its registration with Kanto Local Finance Bureau and is expected to start trading in next month.
Bakkt delayed due to CFTC concern about client Bitcoin custody
According to WSJ, the CFTC has raised a concern about its Bitcoin client custody. The post also states that Bakkt needs to take additional steps to comply with CFTC rules and “require disclosures of the venture’s business plan and a public comment period”

According to a Reddit post, a Mt.Gox investor announced the approval of Mt.Gox refunds. Additionally, another comment in the post also confirms the refund. However, it is unknown whether Mt.Gox refunds the investors in fiat or BTC or in both.
Canada lawmakers proposed a ban on crypto short selling and margin trading
The Canadian Securities Administrators and IIROC have proposed a framework on banning shorting and margin trading for digital assets. The framework states that “To reduce the risks of potentially manipulative or deceptive activities, in the near term, we propose that Platforms not permit dark trading or short selling activities, or extend margin to their participants.”. If approved, the ban may causes a certain affect on the current BTC direction.
BNB holders may get launchpad VIP access
