The incident comes as the government of Haryana led by Manohar Lal Khattar has been facing flak over deteriorating law and order condition in the state.
This time, a 20-year-old woman was gang-raped by two men at Bhuthan village in Fatehabad while she was alone in her house.
The Haryana Police have filed the case and constituted a special team to catch the accused.
The victim alleged that she was raped by two men at her own house.
Fatehabad Women Police Station SHO Bimla Devi told news agency ANI: “She (victim) was sent for medical examination. A case has been registered under the various section of the IPC. The accused will be arrested as soon as possible. A special team has been formed for that.”
It is the seventh incident of rape and gang-rapes reported in the state in the past six days.
The incident comes as the government of Haryana led by Manohar Lal Khattar has been facing flak over deteriorating law and order condition in the state due to the reporting of a series of rapes, gang-rapes and murders, especially of minor girls, in as many days.
This has pushed the Haryana government and the state's police on the defensive.
CM Khattar on Wednesday urged political parties not to politicise such issues.
