Fortnite users playing on a PC are having problems logging into their account following a security update from Norton Antivirus.
The latest version of the popular anti-malware software appears to be blocking part of the game as potentially unsafe, although Norton has told customers via Twitter it is a “false positive alert” and it is working on a fix.
“We’re aware of this false positive alert and reported this to our security response team,” multiple users were told on the social network.
Fortnite’s creators Epic Games told players it had contacted Norton “to assist them in their investigation”.
Some users of the popular online game have reported being unable to play for as much as seven hours.
Epic Games recently revealed that the title would be coming to Android devices soon, but would not be downloadable from the Google Play Store.
The game will be available to download directly from the official Fortnite website instead, to avoid paying a cut of 30% that apps are forced to pay on Google’s app store.
