A Minnesota woman charged with shooting her boyfriend of five years has told police it was due to a YouTube stunt gone horribly wrong.
Monalisa Perez, 19, of Halsted, allegedly shot Pedro Ruiz III, 22, in the chest with a .50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol on Monday while their three-year-old daughter looked on.
Perez fled the house screaming and later said the book was supposed to stop the bullet in a bid to create a viral video, family members told the Star Tribune.
Are you serious? Are people really that dumb just to make a few bucks on youtube and a fucking Desert Eagle for God sakes, one of the most powerful hand guns you can buy.

This absolutely is nuts...one would have thought they would have at least tested their theory out before trying this stupid stunt...I hope the best for her but such a terrible choice they made :( ...possible 10 years in prison and a life time of sadness.
In the full article at Daily Mail they said he tested it first on a book and it stopped it. Who knows if he was using a new book or the same book while she shot him but either way stupidity and guns don't mix.
