300,000! I cannot picture that many stores. Think about that for a second. Think of a big mall. We have a Yorkdale here. A big mall with a lot of fancy stores that I cannot afford. There is what, a couple of hundred stores in it. I looked it up, there are 250 stores and services in it. Now times that by a thousand. That should cover every type of store and then some. And this is all happening this year. When Japan makes a move they really move fast :p.
In case you haven't heard, in July, Japan is taking the 8% tax off of bitcoin and it is already legal tender there. When the stores accepting it, as they do cash and credit, it will officially be a mainstream currency there. All it needs is. insurance and credit and you have an economy of bitcoin. And Japan is the third biggest economy in the world. But it isn't only that, with all these stores accepted it, that means it will become a normal topic of discussion. You will see the bitcoin sign on the front of a store beside credit. Merchants will learn about them as they have to train to use the machine. People will see their friends use bitcoin. By the end of the year, in Japan, bitcoin might start to catch up with talk of money and credit.
I also had a thought about travel. I want to go to Japan. It is one of my top places I want to visit. I even want to learn the language, though, from what I've heard, it is a difficult language to learn. Travel is no where on my list right now, I am at a point in my life where I want to put money away so I do not have to worry about it. That is why I am busting my ass to post on here. But, when I do travel, maybe I can use bitcoin there. It might be cheaper than converting it from Canadian money.
Have you been to Japan? Or do you want to? Let me know in the comments.

Meltdown of global fiat finances has started, and the dawn of new cryptoworld begins with Japan! 😊
300,000!
Thanks for info
I love travel, I did not visit Japan
But never is late
Woah! That's incredible. Hopefully the world will follow. Thanks for sharing the info.
The Japanese language is truly not that hard. What seems to be hard for me is the vast amounts of Kanji that have to be memorized in order to function within an average day-to-day life in Japan, and the numerous conjugations. It seems that the book most Americans use -- Genki -- does not teach those very well. As soon as you learn the 8 conjugation patterns, you can apply them to different words you would normally use and be on your merry way.
The conjugations actually follow specific patterns.
You can buy a hardcopy of my college professor's book: Japanese Grammar - the Connecting Point by Kimihiko Nomura which explains these ideas in great detail.
ALSO, Duolingo is developing a Japanese program (currently available on iOS) and Memrise has some basic, basic lessons in the language.
Just think , If Bitcoin was an actual coin and you tried to purchase an icecream?, you would need a wheelbarrow for the change ! Might give you a Yen to try some other currency?
