I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who voted on Part One of my story the other day. I put in some work and, though it didn't quite pay for the trip, it was still worth doing even if I made the usual seven cents hahaha. The experience and then turning that into a blog post that people read and UPVOTED inspired me a lot and now I am like ok I need to rethink what I am doing here because I have so much material I just have to figure out the best way to distribute it and edit things to make a readable story.
My mission statement is to be as readable as possible while also trying to contribute my part in posts that give people another way of consuming content. Especially after not finding material like mine in other places I found out that censorship was much more prevalent than I had thought. It seemed like information is in a vacuum and everything is just fluff.
We need some investigative reporting and being on the scene of an event was by far the best thing I ever did. I wish there were some way to STEEMIT source a news outlet that flew under the same banner but had a review process so the writers could be a part of a group and then earn based on upvotes and even secure some help with funding to provide the best quality content for those users who like to Read, Reply, Upvote and Resteem.
I think there are two types of STEEMIAN, the content creator and the content absorber. Also the pure investor but I mean community active users. If people were easily able to see a bunch of articles about the same topic they could add another section onto the search and instead of merely following someone that you could see other writers you never saw before that will blow your mind. Resteeming and Upvoting is the kindest thing you can do.
Oh and by the way my wife still resents me. Just kidding 😏

I agree. We don't see enough variety sometimes. But perhaps that is changing with all the new players coming to the game.

Those are the best types of STEEMIAN. Those who not only create but also read, comment and resteem. The more you have to offer the better off you will be in my opinion.

This is all great. I agree and we'll see how the 'communities' play out when they roll out. I also left a link to the ChainBB on my last post, the one you commented on. (thank you) but that chainbb is like a forum. I don't fully understand it, but it has topic grouped. Anyway, I agree with the different types of steemers here. I like learning about steemit, and technology, and trading. BUT I especially enjoy the photos from people's every day life and learning something new about a different part of the world. We'll see. Nice to meet ya.
Steemit has a lot to offer and with nerdy devs and dorky content creators like me that can and should produce content we will go far. Power Up and lets get us our STEEM POWER before we start to reach a ton of users. Now is the time to set the groundwork and make sure that we are not wasting our time and that we are networking because at the end of the day you have to bust your butt to make it anywhere and if some guy can buy a house and another a car and another a boat with STEEM than why not us?! I want to see my account value grow and grow and I will never cash out or power down until my family is screaming at me that I am stupid not to. Until then it is post, blog, create, network, support, upvote, resteem and scroll through a list of comments and notifications. That makes my day.

Thanks a lot. I am trying to keep my head in the game and as a person with many other things going on it is hard to post often but when I do I try hard at least. Some posts I have cried writing. As a Veteran, a Nurse and a HUMAN BEING that happens! I think sometimes it just comes down to replying and getting followers because long term that will make it worth your time. For now I am enjoying learning what the heck I am doing wrong all the time!!!
Well, I can relate with you. I can't post on regular basis, too. But I do my best to write a good content whenever I got the chance!

It's tough because sometimes you are so motivated and you get no "whales" or 20 upvotes and eight cents and it discourages you and leads you asking yourself, did I already miss the bus and we are still in beta?! But I think the best thing to do is just post away and comment and reply and Resteem right now because as a community we are still very small and if the platform catches fire like I am 85% sure it will, than all of us with a couple hundred in the wallet will be holding onto a lot more than we have now and the whales will sell out. I know I would. Who needs to blog when you can cash out for $6,000,000? Hahaha. Not this guy. Cabin in the forest somewhere with non-stop family time. Because I am a dork like that. BTW FOLLOWED & UPVOTED because you are a Mountaineer and into Earth Science and Geology. Us Scientists need to stick together in this Liberal Arts world 🤓

Lol, that's what I usually get, but persistence is the key. Lightening struck me on a Steemit a couple times and some posts did well. I haven't a clue what made those posts better than the rest. Just keep trying until I strike is again. But there is a lot to say for watching one of your posts earn something more than a few cents....

I really am reading the audience wrong or something haha. I actually made a post about what is the best time of day to post your content because I was like maybe people are just asleep hahaha. What can we do? Just keep on creating and commenting. Voting when needed. One day the god of Whales will smile upon us and smite us with his fluke of power, maybe blow some steem our way. Hang in there, sooner or later we'll get 'er done.
