I read this article:
http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/374233-russians-charged-with-interfering-in-us-elections
The Grand Jury in DC return indictments on 13 Russians and 3 Russian groups for interfering in the 2016 elections. They set up servers in the US to hide that they were Russians (allegedly).
The overarching crime charged was "conspiracy to defraud the US", but the real crimes seem to be using fake ID's, bank accounts and even fraudulently won visas. More details will obviously follow as trials and plea deals come in.
Quote from the article:
"The individuals and entities are associated with the Russia-based Internet Research Agency, a Russian troll farm in St. Petersburg that was found last year to have purchased $100,000 in political advertisements on Facebook running up to the election. The social media platform told Congress that the ads, designed to exploit political and social divisions in the United States, potentially reached 126 million American users.
Twitter has also uncovered some 3,800 fake accounts and 50,000 bots tied to the shadowy Russian operation."
3.......2.........1....... Que cry baby Trump loving snowflakes screaming "fake news"
