Iniesta, sharing the record of Xavi-Giggs
Andrés Iniesta touched a great record. Barcelona's Spanish midfielder touched the record for most quarter-final matches in the Champions League.
Two of Barcelona's Xavi Hernandez and Manchester United's Ryan Giggs have kept the records in 21 quartet finals in Europe's most prestigious competition. In the first leg of the last eight in the last leg of the last season, Barca played 4-1 goals against Roma in the first leg of the match and Iniesta shared two legendary records.
The 33-year-old midfielder, who won four Champions League titles for Barca, will play in the returning to Roma's field on Tuesday, taking the record beyond Xavi-Giggs.
And the record for most matches in the Champions League is Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas (167 matches).
