Recently I wrote about benefits of mandarins and today I wanted to remind everyone about the benefits of consuming citrus fruits, specifically, oranges, especially during cold winter months. This is due to the fact, they contain a load of beneficial elements, vitamins and fiber.
First of all, oranges are very delicious and the aroma of peeling an orange makes your mouth watering. Fresh and tasty!
Just like mandarins, oranges promote good, healthy looking, glowing skin, something that is important not only for health, but for the beauty consideration as well, especially because we all strive for beauty! The promotion of good skin is attributed to oranges containing a ton of antioxidant- Vitamin C.
A surprising benefit of oranges, at least for me, is the fact that oranges may be able to prevent strokes. This is very important for today’s culture because nowadays a lot of people suffer from heart diseases and high blood pressure, making them prone to strokes.
Speaking about heart health,oranges are good for heart health. Due to oranges containing a lot of fiber, Vitamin C, choline and potassium, this fruit can help to promote heart health.
Furthermore, because Vitamin C is considered to be an antioxidant, it actually fights off cancer cells. That’s a huge benefit an orange can offer you!
In addition, everyone knows that Vitamin C helps our immune system to fight any bacterial infections or viral diseases. Therefore, it is important to enjoy some citrus fruits, including oranges, in the winter time when people often catch a cold or flu.
Just like the saying goes: One apple a day keeps a doctor away, so does the orange!!! Please try to enjoy at least one or two oranges or mandarins a day - it will keep you healthy and energized throughout your precious life! And your body will thank you in the long run!

Yes, citrus fruits are good, unfortunately, sometimes I forget about them :)
It usually happens, much more with the accelerated pace we carry in our day to day. But you have to create the habit! ;)
