What if your blessings come through rain drops? Top 3 Health Benefits of Rain

in #newyear7 years ago (edited)

Welcoming 2018 with Rain? If you’re familiar of a Christian song, “Blessings” by Laura Story you can remember in one line it refers to rain as blessing, “what if your blessings come through rain drops?”

So I made a quick research this morning and here are the top 3 health benefits that we can value as blessings from raindrops:

  1. It can make the air we breathe cleaner and more refreshing.
According to Atmospheric Chemistry and Physic (http://bit.ly/1EmOgPh) As raindrops fall through the atmosphere it can attract thousands of tiny microscopic bacteria before it hits the ground. Dan Cziczo, the Victor P. Starr Career Development Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry, says “This can help address issues such as air quality and human health, as well as the effect of clouds on climate.” So, have a confident deep breathing exercise this morning!

  2. Proven to boost your mental health.
According to internet sources, ionised water, with its antioxidant properties, acts on free radicals, which are in the form of aggressive oxygen and turns them into stable oxygen. Giving us a calming effect, positive mood influence and helps uplift depressing spirit.

  3. It nourishes the plants we eat.
In Deuteronomy 11:14 God says, "I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil." Plants depend on water to produce energy in photosynthesis. That is why plants spring up around water. Indeed all good things comes from Him.

So, is it raining there? Then may this short article give you a reason to be thankful and continue celebrate life free from worry. Happy New Year!

Your title made me want to sing some songs. Anyway, when I was younger I was told not to soak myself under the rain because it was unhealthy, but with this post, I learned that not all things the old people say are true.

Hi Gail! Happy New Year. I'm glad this made you informed in some way.
I would agree to you, while sometimes what old people say becomes beacons of warning, some of it too holds untrue.

Oh just be careful of acid rain though. I heard. It is just harmful for the skin =)

Happy New Year! I knew about #1 but who knew it had great effect on our mental health.

Happy New Year Too ^ ^ I had the same reaction as I learned of this. It's good to know it's benefits. :D
