December Football

in #nfl7 years ago

December can be the most stressful time of the year for football fans if you're team is still in the hunt. Only five games left. Every game is enormous. Every loss excruciating and every win feels amazing. I personally haven't felt this rush and pressure of rooting my team on late in the season with a legit chance at the playoffs in years. It is slightly familiar, the Titans have had good and ok success in some seasons since I was 7. It feels good, just like the other years, brings back good memories. But mostly it has been a struggle, as a fan. I feel really bad for Cleveland Browns fans. I don't know how they do it.

I will say that I have learned to sort of cope with my team being awful. I mean that always sucks but what I mean is I've learned to appreciate just being a fan and watching my team and root them on. I've also learned how to just be a fan of the NFL as a whole. I love football. Just because my team may stink in a season, I can't just not watch and enjoy. The game is too awesome to me.

I don't think there are more exciting playoff races in all of sports, than in football. So few games in a season, every game is serious. There isn't any time for having a lazy or off game. I think that is awesome. The teams have to show up. Whatever team you have. Your best roster on that day, put it on the field and play your best game.

The playoff races look tight again this year, in both conferences. The AFC South is as tight as ever. Titans and Jags locked in a tie up top at 7-4. Titans won head to head earlier this year so they are in first. They play each other in the final game of the season. That game as a Titans fan makes me nervous, but luckily it's at home which is nice.

The AFC West is a hot mess. The Chiefs are just totally crapping themselves all of a sudden. The Chargers look hot and the Raiders are still sticking around. I don't know if Carr is 100 percent still coming off that leg injury and I remember hearing about a back injury he sustained this year as well.

The NFC South is very competitive. Probably as a whole the best division in football. Thats up for grabs at this point. But The Saints, Panthers, and Falcons could make the playoffs this year.

Since the South is so tough, it's important that the Rams and Seahawks fight their butts off to win the NFC West. The Rams look very tough this year. The Seahawks could be in trouble there but I will never 100 percent rule out Russell Wilson.

The NFC is a lot deeper this season than the AFC. Six wins in the AFC you are possibly in a Wild Card spot. While six wins in the NFC you are sitting at number eight. Five teams in the NFC have eight or more wins while there is only two in the AFC.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an AFC West team climb the rankings and make a Wild Card spot. Currently though the Bills and Ravens are in direct contention for that number six spot. I believe that the Titans or Jags will get the other wild card spot. But who knows!!

My favorite team, the Titans, have five games left.

Vs. Texans
@ Cardinals
@ 49ers
Vs. Rams
Vs. Jaguars

Interesting. I think they are capable of winning out. But being capable doesn't always mean wins. Every game is hard and requires foucus. My team is 7-4 now, but I know how quickly and easily it could all fall apart. I hope they're ready. I will be watching every game, rooting them on from PA.

Good luck to your team during this last month of action. Even if your team's season ended two months ago. I hope you're still enjoying good old American football.

How's your team faring this year? How do you think your team will finish out the year? What are your thoughts on this year's playoff races?

Steem on and TITANUP!!!!

I believe with that remaining schedule that you got a good chance of winning out barring injury. As far as my Cowboys the season looks like it ended on Thanksgiving day, but with Jason Garret as head coach and Jerry still pulling strings it's hard to see a Superbowl let alone consecutive playoff appearances happening. Although we play the Redskins tonight and well we don't lose to the Redskins. I just wrote a little article detailing some interesting points as to why. Check it out you might get a kick out of it. I picked the Titans to knock off the Patriots if ya'll were to meet in the playoffs this year, so good luck and win out! I don't wanna see another New England Superbowl haha

Yeah your Cowboys seem to be just in a funk this season. Teams were ready to play them because of all the noise they made last season. I will certainly check it out, I'm always looking to support more NFL content on Steemit. Gosh I appreciate your confidence in my team. The one thing that gives me confidence in my team is that we haven't played a full 60 minute game that I know we are capable of playing. So hopefully we can fix and tweak and sharpen some things down the stretch. I don't want to see another New England Super Bowl either. The AFC is so depressing unless you are a Pats fan. If we end up playing them and beating themn that would be AMAZING. Thanks for the good football comment on my post, I will check your post out. Followed ya, steem on!!
