New to Hive!

I never like writing intro posts but here goes nothing.

I signed up to Hive after finding out about the platform while signing up for Splinterlands. New to the game, I hope to share my experiences playing and earning.

Some topics I'll cover in my posts include VEVE Marketplace, Splinterlands, gaming, photography, and travel. I'm also a semi-retired DJ and will post plenty of music and DJ sets.

VEVE Marketplace

VEVE is one of my favorite places to buy and trade digital collectibles. It's easy to get into the hobby and you can make some great money buying and selling collectibles. Last night I got insanely lucky with this low-mint Spider-Man Rare collectible.https://www.veve.me/

Splinterlands

I'm brand new to this game but am enjoying the gameplay immensely. I like that it's more about building a good team than playing cards at the right time. This makes the learning curve a little easier. My day one record so far is 10-17 so I'm no pro yet. I haven't spent money on cards yet, but plan on building a deck soon.https://splinterlands.com?ref=mantis-tobaggon

Does anyone have any advice on getting better?

Travel, Food, Photography, and Other Stuff

Currently based in Siem Reap, Cambodia, I've been a digital nomad for the past few years. Of course, I love to share my experiences with as many people as possible.

DJing and Music

I've been DJing and making music since the 90s. While there are not many opportunities to DJ currently due to COVID, I still try and put some mixes out here and there. https://halfnakeddisco.live/ https://www.mixcloud.com/donstone/

Thanks for the opportunity!

Hive looks like a great opportunity to share and contribute. I look forward to posting more and more. Would love to meet like-minded people and collab.

Welcome to Hive and Splinterlands! The best advice I can give on Splinterlands is pay attention to the rulesets.

Thanks, It's pretty cool so far. I only purchased the spellbook but want to invest in some cards soon. Just got off a 4 win streak so I'm getting better.

We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.Welcome to the Hive community @mantis-tobaggon!

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and Hivelock,
  3. The master password is only used to reset compromised passwords, do NOT use to sign in anywhere!
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and
be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own
    .
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. Do Not open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.
