When It's Been A While

in #nft2 years ago (edited)

My, my, my, it has been a while...

I feel like I need to reintroduce myself, but there's really no need. Let's call this a catching up, if you will.

The Nutshell

I had a job. I left a job. I got another one, and left that one, too. I started yet another job that I managed to like and stick with for over a year; then I had a breakdown and that was the end of that. I started seeing a therapist, was re-diagnosed with ADHD, and now here we are.

I remember being diagnosed with ADHD when I was in second grade. I don't really remember the diagnosis as much as I remember having such a lovely time spinning around in the chair while my mother talked to the doctor. I was put on Ritalin, taken off Ritalin, and given punishment instead. Surely they could beat the ADHD out of me. No. It doesn't work like that. It's a developmental disorder, not a behavioral problem. Long story short, I have been untreated all of my life, and am pretty much incapable of doing anything that requires me to do anything.

I like doing what I like doing and that's a problem. But, it's not a problem. It has made me insanely creative and I just make, and make, and make. I have more ideas in 20 minutes, than most people have in their entire life. To try to make my life and the world a better place, I started creating art pieces that I started selling on the blockchain. I made one piece of bread and was inspired to create a whole collection. That is my ADHD. That is how I am going to take all the shit that has been dumped on me and make it beautiful.

The Plan

My plan is simple. Succeed. How I do that is I keep doing what I have been doing, only I do it longer. I have no issues in creating art. I have even fewer issues posting and writing about it. I currently have 70 NFTs in my tiny, but growing, collection, adding new pieces daily. The theme changes, but the central character remains the same. He's just a little guy, trying to make it before he turns to crumbs. Just like every body else. I used some of my HIVE that I have been saving up from Delegation payouts, swapped it for Ethereum and opened up shop on Opensea.io. The floor is low and the sky is limitless. I am excited and anxious about this new adventure. I hope you join me on it.

Great to see you all again!

Love,
Mo
