The adoption of the decentralized gaming model is on an increasing side on the blockchain space. Gamers and developers now realize the positive impacts of blockchain-based games. Developers and users alike are all experiencing huge dissatisfaction with the stagnated conventional gaming market.

More so, developers and users are continuously exposed to the predatory and sharking behavior of game publishers and Managements.
Undoubtedly, the centralized gaming model has been the order of the modern world. The alarming limitation of the centralized model has created an avenue for the inception of Seascape. Seascape will not only change the narrative of this old trend gaming model but will also bring forth financial freedom, confidence and trust among Game lovers, developers and influencers.

However, the global adoption of a Decentralized gaming system will not be a hard deal considering the trending and horrendous limitations of the Centralized gaming system. The decentralized gaming model has unique characteristics over the Old trend gaming system. This means that every data related to the game is connected to a particular server which is fully controlled by the game administrators. Typically, the data includes account information and the server history - which records and stores all events and in-game assets collected by the players (such as collectables, items, and virtual money). Because the database is owned by a single company, players do not have any real ownership of their accounts and items

LIMITATIONS OF CENTRALISED GAMING MODELS

The Centralized server is encircled with numerous challenges that are not limited to the following;

  • Server malfunction due to technical issues: The entire system is controlled by a single unit called the “Central Server”. In most cases, if the central server experiences downtime, the entire network ceases. This could occur most times as a result of a plugin or theme conflict where they exist different developers that have different coding methods and styles. This, therefore, means that plugins and themes from different developers mostly do not work well with each another leading to malfunctions.

  • System infiltration by hackers: Centralized systems are easily invaded by hackers. Since this system model depends only on the central server, it is less cumbersome for hackers to attack and bring down the central server. No doubt, hackers are not uncommon across the internet. Exposure of the network to hackers can easily lead to the loss of data feed.

  • The game shut down: Game shut down occurs when the network is dependent on the central server for data feed and efficiency. In most cases, the game shut down is experienced when theirs is a malfunction in the system.

  • Undeserved ban of accounts: When and if the system is infiltrated by hackers or cheaters and things are altered, the developers are unable to trace who the culprits are thereby leading to the ban of gamers accounts.

  • Lack of transparency regarding game mechanics and rates: Because it has a central authority, a gamer won't necessarily know the workings of a particular game and the amount one is supposed to pay to leave them at the mercy of being cheated.

  • Manipulation of the game economy by developers and administrators: Developers and administrators can alter things concerning the game economy since it is not timestamped or unchangeable to benefit more for themselves.
In other words, the power is in the hands of the game companies. But as the world has evolved, blockchain technology can eliminate most of these problems.
The global gaming industry continually grows across all market subsets, but its structure remains in a manner that primarily benefits game authorities and developers and perpetuates a one-directional flow of value where players spend money to unlock access to in-game assets and gameplay configurations. But contrastingly, blockchain-built games (seascape) give room for players to capture the utility and value of in-game purchases and asset acquisitions more effectively.

Non-fungible tokens (nfts)
Seascape is designed around the NFT economy. A non-fungible item is that which cannot be wholly or partially exchanged with each other. A real estate property is a perfect example in that if someone has a house, it's unlikely that he'll exchange it for another house even though the monetary value may be the same. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are blockchain-based tokens that represent unique or rare digital and real-world assets. It allows gamers to truly own in-game items and transfer their assets from one game to the other also enabling them to sell their in-game NFTs in blockchain marketplaces.
NFTs also help gamers create a single digital identity for all games. This, therefore, means that they'll be able to move and use experience levels, and other in-game items across games, thus creating a more unified gaming experience.
The underlying blockchain network enables the generation and deployment of these NFTs within multiple gaming environments. Because NFTs are unique and designed in such a way that can retain value beyond the game in which they originated, blockchain-built games have the potential to expand gaming economies dramatically, thereby establishing new gaming categories, and fueling new game development.

RELEVANCE OF BLOCKCHAIN TO DECENTRALISED GAMING SYSTEM

There is a need to integrate the conventional gaming system into blockchain technology. The blockchain serves as the perfect system to handle the challenges of centralization faced by conventional Models. Blockchain is a peer-to-peer, decentralized, distributed ledger technology that operates without the involvement of a third party or middleman thereby making it different and exceptional from the traditional banking system. It provides individuals with a safer and faster means of verifying information. Because it's decentralized, it helps to unlock opportunities for developers in the gaming sector to build DeFi protocols directly into platforms across a variety of verticals. It also supports an array of online market places thereby allowing users to exchange their products and services.

**They are many attributes associated with blockchain technology, some o

  1. Transparency: Due to the decentralized nature of the seascape network, it creates a transparent profile of every participant. Participants unique data are stored accordingly.
  2. Immutability: This means that something cannot be changed or altered. Since the Seascape network is deployed on blockchain technology, every transaction carried out cannot be added or subtracted at a later date.
  3. Decentralized: For a network to be decentralized, it means that it doesn’t have any central governing authority or a single person looking after the framework but rather has a group of nodes maintaining the network thereby making it decentralized.
  4. Enhanced security: Since there is no longer a need for a central authority, no one can just simply change any characteristics of the network for their benefit. The use of encryption also ensures another layer of security for the system.

CONCLUSION
Integration of blockchain technology in traditional gaming is becoming a new trend. The decentralized gaming application is gaining massive support from top crypto firms. Although the full potentials of the blockchain gaming system are still yet to be unveiled, Seascape game developers have reported the efficient workability and profitability of the blockchain games. An outstanding example is the Profit circus, which is already gaining massive users. This game makes provision for incentive for both players and developers. The main benefits for users are the new ways that they can interact with the game and mostly stem from the concept of real-world ownership. The players can Stake on LP programs to earn $CWS token. From the development perspective, we find that most of the benefits come from the reduction of upkeep costs and enhanced engagement from the userbase.
