This is my humble entry into the NFT space. It's selling on Raribble right now for very affordable price.
It's been fascinating, to say the least, watching the discussions around NFTs in the various art communities. My personal, loose take on it? I think it's a good thing! As a new platform for an artist, it's not much different from finding a new site to make and sell prints of your work - I totally support it, get your money!
Where I find the most fascinating discussions happening, is around the societal and psychological aspect of it. What happens when you are asked to price your work, and what happens when you let others to price it for you. It's an interesting case-study to say the least, especially when so much money and ego is involved. In my many years of freelancing, artists (usually the one's that are making a great living off of it already) will always encourage others to charge more, to not sell themselves short. It collectively increases the standard for what art is worth and we all benefit from it - especially if you're a freelance artist. This is how I'm looking at NFTs. It's increasing the overall value of digital art as a medium. It's being recognized by artists, collectors, and potential future clients. We all benefit from it. Looking forward to what comes next...
Well, have you been able to sell this?
not yet.
Which NFT site do you use?
Rarible.
here's a link
I applied to the others, but haven't heard back yet.
I think Rarible is the most popular. So how much did you pay to put it up for sale? How Many USD?
I threw this one up when the hype was bigger than it is now. I think at the time, I paid a total of something like $30 in fees. Kinda high for me, but so far I'm just looking to break even so I can keep posting work. Wanna try NFT showroom next.
Last month fees was 7 USD. I wonder why it has risen so much now, I do not understand either.
