I don't even have time to grind rank after shiney daily 10 most of the time. I genuinely miss feeling competitive in this game. Even getting to mythic doesn't feel like what it was, it's not "the best decks against the best decks" it's just "the most optimal shiney piles of cards possible" the higher you go. The only issue is a lot of "competitive aspects" can get immediately exploited by bots or wintraders (people think "who has the time for that" but in web3 there are guilds of thousands of people where this is "their whole thing"). Other web3 gaming vets sortof know this is the way it goes and unless you have a team actively monitoring the ladder for exploits or a good algo for detecting wintrading etc. it's a bit of a cart before the horse thing. As shitty as it sounds
Game needs a competitive something again, but not something that is just incentivizing a bunch of people to rent and wintrade into each other at the expense of everyone and not actually reward competitive gameplay. It's a tough connundrum. Collection sniping is dirty. Sniping every match people play in directs to practice before the match etc.
Competitive players actually need to make an alt and rent cards to practice to not have their opponents predicting what they will be using for the tourney (people can even track "which cards you sent out" to get a guage of what you are building on an alt for the tourney if you aren't careful and don't just rent and have the account be in a closed enviroment), it's some of the stupidest thong I've ever seen in any competitive scene and makes us look like a cess pit.
