🌄 Good morning (here)!☕
Nice to "hear" from you (you are still on my feed list obviously), as it has been awhile. I have always enjoyed reading what you have to say, as I can count on it being straight up! 🫡👍
Like you, I am not optimistic and have ... "voted with my feet" ... The requested accountability is almost certainly never going to materialize ...
I truly say "almost," as again like you, for the sake of those still faithfully laboring away, I don't mind being proven wrong.
I do still comment, from time to time. Separating "being paid" for creating ... "good content" ... from the obvious power of the social interaction (among people all over the world) here on the Hive blockchain has been interesting ...
I hope this finds you and yours doing well. And that your little one (ones?) are thriving! 🫡👋
Thanks, we are doing great. I feel that DPOS in general is a failed experiment and brings out the absolute worst in people. I think that people end up discovering it and leave out of frustration or boredom, or they remain to only extract. Adoption is nil, a failure of Metcalfe's law-- the network effect is shit. For the tiny number of people who really get drawn in, they fail to bring others for a myriad of reasons. The stake continues to skew toward the top holders, which distorts whatever decentralization that exists. Even when I was the most engaged, I knew in my heart it was sketchy, and I was never willing to shout from the rooftops for people to join me here-- I just kind of waited around for the ecosystem to get its shit together. You could apply the same reasoning to Splinterlands as well. It's all esoteric nonsense that will never achieve any meaningful adoption.
Both SUI and Cosmos are DPOS. It's the people.
I don't know much about either of those but I'm guessing there isn't a social aspect where people with large stakes swing their dicks around?
Their L1 is not based on social media bs.
And their ecosystem is doing really well.
Thank you for your witness vote!

Very good. Glad to hear all is well! Life "outside" is definitely considerably uhhh ... "healthier" ... IMHO than "in here." One man's opinion, anyway ...
Yep. We are in agreement. And ... What follows is what led to my divestiture. There is no effective remedy. The needed accountability simply does not exist. Exchanges like this one do not personally give me much hope that will ever materialize either.
It is indisputable there are a precious few accounts that could even begin to try to make a difference. And they have shown over and over again that isn't going to happen ...
