Other Niche Communities Curation Report #1462

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1462nd compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Travel Log: The Yutong

I will say goodbye to 2023 in Santiago de Cuba, working. What a weekend! I think this is one of the few times that I say goodbye to my house a little upset. Also because I am worried about Chanel and Yin, whom I have had to leave in the care of a neighbour. It will be cold. No one will wrap up my little singing dog like me. And on the other hand, if they fight? There will be no referee. But there's also the possibility that they will become great friends.... 🙄 I wish. 🤔

A Fruity Farewell

It was such a therapeutic experience for me doing these rounds on the garden because not only is this my last thorough work in the garden for the year, but for a while since I won’t be around for a few months because of school. So, it was a nice experience and as hard as I tried not to have little conversations with my plants, I still did because I guess I’m weird that way. But mostly because they are amazing listeners and they’re a beauty to look at. So, it’s a win-win.

Making Raspberry Liqueur

What started as a tiny little 1 gallon Raspberry Start, os now, bigger than a small car! I pick enough Raspberries each year, to make a couple dozen bottles of Raspberry Liqueur, a couple dozen jars of Raspberry Jam, and, feed a fresh pint a day, to my family, during peak of summer! This video shows you how I take the Raspberries from Berry to A Sweet Tasty Liqueur.

Me gané una Chromebook - Unboxing Lenovo Ideapad Flex 3 CB 11LGL05 [Es/En]

A few weeks ago, specifically before December 24, I participated in an Instagram contest shared by the computer store "Conputodo" headquarters Maracay - Venezuela. In which there were 3 prizes and one of them was a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 3 CB 11lgl05 Chromebook, which I was lucky enough to win.

New year, better me! I'm ready, 2024!

New year, new me? Nah, I don't believe in that shit. New year, better me is more like it! 2023 has honestly been nothing but a year of change and growth for me. Growth mentally, emotionally, artistically, (a little on the physical side too cuz the holidays gave me chubs), and a little on the financial side because for the first time in a long time, I actually hit my saving goals. This growth might not be so noteworthy to most, but to me, they've made me really proud of myself and the person I'm slowly becoming as I age and enjoy my 26 years on earth. This year has been the year with the least amount of break downs and the year where I have met people that have changed my views so much, and I have nothing but gratitude for this passing year. In light of that, I just want to higlight and write down my aspirations for the year so I have something to look back to when 2025 comes. I don't do traditional journaling so writing about it like this helps so much.

Goodbye 2023, You've Actually Been Good To Me

As I write this I'm enjoying an ice-cold bottle of Hein-o-mite, while my dad, sister, her partner, my partner, and son are out in the kitchen listening to some smooth Jazz music, waiting for a few people to arrive to bring in the new year in style.

I won't be getting shit-faced tonight - not that I do anyway - but, we will be enjoying a few brewskies and having a bit of fun... The moment I get in there that Jazz crap is getting turned off.

The best gift I had gotten for the entire year

I had been lying casually in my house a couple of days to when I had to travel for the Christmas break when the vibration accompanying my ring tune caused my heart to skip. I picked up the phone, murmuring my displeasure as I accepted the call.

It was from a delivery guy who wanted descriptions of my house. At first, I thought it was one of my friends who was fooling with me, but the thick Ibibio accent that came along with the caller's voice made me rethink.

A Brief Personal Review - 2023

I have read quite a few posts reflecting upon 2023 and sadly most of them weren't very positive. Guess it reflects the current state of our world. For me, 2023 was a mixed bag of beans. Nothing great, but also nothing too bad.

Community: The MINIMALISTAuthor: @george-dee

Defying Societal Expectations For A Secured Future.

With my little time on earth, I have learned that whatever doesn't align with what a particular person or group of people believe in is usually tagged as what's wrong and these things have made it difficult for some humans to differentiate between what's right and wrong. Instead of proving a point about what is wrong or right, the majority of us just stick to our beliefs which isn't a bad decision. My minimalist lifestyle has been questioned severally and sometimes, I get tired of trying to make people see the good about the lifestyle I have chosen.
