OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 430th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Gel de Sábila y Flor de Cayena para un Cabello Fuerte y Brillante 👩 Aloe and Cayenne Flower Gel for Strong and Shiny Hair

Aloe vera contains antioxidants and enzymes that stimulate hair growth, give shine and silkiness, while cayenne flower moisturizes and repairs the hair from damage caused by the sun or excessive use of irons and dryers.

A battered surf beach

Not surprisingly the heavy rain and powerful wind from the low pressure trough had magically turned the usual serene sandy beach into a dramatic nature war zone. It was an amazing wow open mouth kind of sight! A large number of logs and debris had been lifted and dropped onto the beach from the nearby Coolum creek and Maroochydore River.

Garden Journal March 2022

I haven’t posted anything in the hive garden community for two months now, because it has been deep winter in the northeast US. Not a dark winter as our commander-in-chief predicted a few months ago, but a cold one for sure. There were days I did not even open a door, let alone step outside. On those days I would dream about gardening, about the dwarf fruit trees I will plant in my tiny yard, about the asphalt I will reclaim for a flower garden, about the vines I'll get growing on trellises to improve privacy without taking up floor space, about cucumbers surviving this year. The diminutive back yard, currently all flowers but that gets lots of sun, will go instead into food production. Trouble is, what to do about the maple and the viburnum and the junipers that take up 1/3 of that back yard? I believe that to kill a tree is to kill a man. Getting rid of any perennial here is going to be very difficult for me, even the great many useless yews that are taking up precious space.

SOY BURGER! and bread... and mayo... | Plant Based Challenge: Vegan Burger! [ENG-ESP]

For this challenge, we have to make fully vegan burgers, and I decided to take it to every step. This is a big compilation of recipes rather than one. We are going to make the bread, ketchup, mayo (vegan of course), and the burger itself, and soy will be our star, I want us to know all the potential this nutritious ingredient has. There is a lot of work ahead so let's get into it.

Rencor. La perpetuidad del dolor (Es/En)

Happy afternoon, friends of Hive. I greet you with much affection, wishing you well from the bottom of my heart. Today, I want to share with you the consequences of holding a grudge. There are very difficult situations that come our way in life, but the path of resentment will never be a good choice. I hope you can read my publication and learn lessons from it.

Tug of war (Original Poem)

In my veins, like a river, I can feel

Flooding and rushing to lungs
Those won't get a clear puff
And the brain that won't cease depicting
Horror and fear of pain.

The blue clover and the rose bush

But a clover with four white blue appeared one day in the garden of Mrs. Leonor, at first it went unnoticed, but the gardener found it just before pruning the roses of a bush under which it was. Surprised, he cleaned around it to make it more visible and called the owner of the house to see it. What admiration from the whole family. The children watched it closely and counted the number of leaves over and over again.

Wednesday Walk - Sun and Shadow

The wonderful thing about Wednesday Walk is that it gets me thinking about where I want to go, what experience I want to capture, and what story I would like to share via pictures. How can I delight the eyes of a reader with a unique view of the world, as seen only by me and my camera (erm… phone) at that time and place?

Mi trauma con la Diabetes [Es-En]

My mother began to notice that something strange was happening to me because I could not gain weight, I was very skinny, and on top of that, when I managed to gain a little weight, I lost it all at once and it was very noticeable. With the help of an aunt, they took me to Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela, for some tests. From that moment on my life changed and my traumas with diabetes began. I will begin by telling you my story from the eyes of a child and the emotions I felt, and although I was very young I still remember most of them clearly.

Very nice collection! Thank you for including mine. I especially love that you've included a poetry community. Much needed!

Thank you very much for the mention and support you give to our publications. Very good the publications mentioned and the work you do.

Thank you.

This poem means something special to me. I felt like a weight came out of me when I put it out for people to read it, and I don't even think that what I write is GOOD, but to read nice things about it and to be mentioned here for others to see, it is an honor, I feel grateful, so thanks to @sirenahippie, and the @ocd @ocdb teams, who are great motivators. Also thanks to @owasco, for such a kind comment on my poem, and the comment here suggesting that she liked the poetry selection, which I take to myself as well. I also liked her garden memories, dreaming, and her indoor plants which are amazing.
