In my privious post, I talked about how our temperament can influence our behavior. Now, lets take about the weakness of our temperaments.
The Sanguine
Restless
Not only that they are restless, but can be impractical and disorganized. His emotional nature can get him instantly excited and, before really understanding the whole picture, he runs off "half-cocked" in the wrong direction.
The Sanguine person seldom lives up to his full potential. Frequently his is spent running from one tangent to another, and unless disciplined, he is not lastingly productive.
Weak-willed
Sanguines usually gets on the power of his dynamic personality. But that dynamic personality is often a disguise to cover a weak character. His greatest basic problem is that he is undisciplined and weak-willed. If he can discipline himself, there would be no limit to his potential in life.
He often starts things programs, a book, and never finish them. Thinking matters through in the light of his time, abilities, and other responsibilities is not part of his make-up. He loves to please. He does not know his limitations, and although he functions well as a
'front man" for a group, without stimulus of the group he finds it very difficult to methodically necessary work.
They unintentionally forgets resolutions, appointments, and obligations. They don't usually keep to time schedule and meet deadlines.

Egotistical
Sanguines personality which makes him/her appear more mature in his youths than his folks gives him a prominent position early in life that enhance his natural egotism. They often wants to dominate a conversation, by going over and obnoxious about it. He always tends to put his interest out thinking that everyone share the same view.
Emotionally Unstable
He/she is never far from tears, even though they are the "enjoying temperament". They discourages easily and can drift into a pattern of excusing their weakness or feeling sorry for themselves. They are quick to anger but easily lets the issue slide. Among many weaknesses, what the Sanguines needs more is Discipline, if they nature this, there is no limit to his/her accomplishments.
Choleric
Hot-tempered
One of the flaws this great personality has is his/her hard, angry, impetuous and self-sufficient traits. And unlike the Sanguine how would outrightly show his/her displeasure in an issue or object and let go of it, the Choleric does not do that, they show their anger and still hold grudges. They can go to any length to revenge an ill-treatment done to them. This angry dispositions causes him to much discomfort in life can make him an undesirable person to be around. This also adds to his/her next flaw;
Cruel.
Choleric can resort
to any crafty means necessary to succeed. They find it very difficult to apologize, and does not not show approval easily.
The Melancholies
Self-Centered
They are probably more self centered than any other temperaments, they are much inclined to self-examination.
Pessimistic
Because of the perfectionist and analytical nature of this temperament, they are pron to be pessimistic. When embanking on a project, all they often see are the problems/challenges of the task. Many times, these problems in his mind far outweigh the good accomplished in the whole endeavor. This pessimism makes him/her to be fearful of decision making and indecisive because he/she does not want to be wrong and fall shot of his/her perfectionist standards.
They can also be moody sometimes, which is often as a result of his/her self contentedness and thought pattern. Also, they can be revengeful.
The Phlegmatic
Slow and Lazy
This is the outstanding weakness of a phlegmatic person, he/she tends to be a spectator in his/her life because of lack of motivation. Active and hard-working people frightens him because they might motivate him to work whicjh he/she is not a fan of.
Because of his/her laziness, he often has more spare time which makes for another weakness;Tease. He can annoying tease people around him especially when they are trying to do something productive, so to discourage them, he teases them. As am writing this now, a friend just came to mind. He does not like to read,and can be very annoying to stay around him while reading anything.
They can also stubborn and indecisive. This is as a result of not getting involved in activities around them.
These weakness i just mentioned is believed to be associated with the said temperament, but our strength or weakness of temperament prevail by our choice, we can be sad only when we allow it to prevail, we can be moody, insecure lazy, indifferent etc if we chose to be.
Like i mentioned in the first edition of this write up on temperament This is note written so you can use it to judge your friend and close ones, rather for a better self examination and a better understanding of others.

STOPI tend to procrastinate. That is my main weakness.
from your name.."positive" you should work on it. one of the ways is to always remind your self about a project or event or anything that you want to do, also you can tell trusted i repeat Trusted persons around about what you intend doing so that the idea of you not doing will always be in your mind.
but do you know that research has shown that people that procrastinates, are high in IQ? *smile
