The year 2018 was started on a bloody note for the entire Nigerian Nation- as Benue state was thrown into chaos by a group of rampaging and blood thirsty sect of FULANI HERDSMEN. On the 1st of January, as most families were in a celebratory mood, families, and indeed the entire state of benue was thrown into mourning and apprehension as this blood thirsty sect struck!. According to Informationng.com more a hundred Nigerian citizens lost their lives by the hands of the Fulani herdsmen. Below is some of the mayhem and deaths left in the wake of this blood thirsty sect;

It was a sad day for students of the federal university lafia in nasarawa state on 7th January 2018, as a final year student identified as Peter Aboh, a student in the department of Micro Biology , was one of the victims of Fulani herdsmen attacks in Benue state, on Friday and saturaday, just eight months to his graduation.

On the 6th of January 2018, 60 deaths were confirmed in lau Local Government Area of Taraba state.
In the early hours of Sunday 9th of February 2018 , 4 deaths were recorded in Bakin Kogi village, Southern Parts of Kaduna.

In the early hours of Thursday, 25th January 2018, three person was murdered in Benue state, one of which was a police man.

The menace of this herdsmen seems like a raging storm which threatens to wash away the very facets of development and civilization of Nigeria by steadfastly holding on to obsolete method of cattle herding at the expanse of pastural agricultural product of other farmers, and now this very archaic practice is now costing human lives!!
How much longer must the citizens of Nigeria live in fear!!, Because of this Menace before the Federal Government weighs in a stop further loss of lives and Properties???!!!
