29th May has been celebrated as Democracy Day in Nigeria since the year 1999 when civilians took over power from the Military. On June 8, 2018 President Buhari had pronounced that the date be changed to honour Late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola. Almost a year later, The Senate Ion 16th May passed the Public holiday Act Amendment bill to recognise June 12 as the New Democracy day to Celebrate a Hero Late Chief M.K.O Abiola who contested and won a Presidential Election which was annulled by the Military Junta, this election is said to have been the most free and fair election in the history of Nigeria. Chief Abiola had lost his wife, businesses as a result of contesting for that seat. So he deserves to be remembered.

Now that the Presidential swearing-in has been carried out, The President is expected to carryout a peaceful and profiting tenure serving the Great people of Nigeria for a second term which is also going to be the final term for him.
