( #Remember Your vote is your power)

The rate of political apathy in Nigeria has increased tremendously over the years due to political ignorance and constant delusions. Some citizens ignorantly believes their vote do not count. Hence; they ignorantly shy away from exercising their right as citizens of this great country.

One thing you must learn to understand as a citizen of Nigeria is the fact that bad politicians are not born but ignorantly created by people who refuses to participate during election. The claim that one’s vote do not count is a mega fallacy and this fallacious claim had contributed massively to the high rate of political apathy practiced by Nigerians.

“The vote is the most powerful instrument ever devised by man for breaking down injustice and destroying the terrible walls which imprison men because they are different from other men.” – Lyndon Johnson

Anytime i think about the number of persons that had buried their right due to their unwillingness to participate in the political sector of Nigeria, I’d always feel so pained and restless. If you’ve decided not to vote during the upcoming elections, i implore you to reverse the decision after reading the reasons below:

(1) Voting Opposes Evil

Both good and bad politicians are all elected through voting. Your failure to vote gives birth to evil leaders, bad leadership, injustice, mass murder, crisis, unbearable hunger, barbarism and other countless calamities. When we all join hands and participate in political sector of Nigeria, the result would be favourable.

Voting gives you the chance to make your voice heard, you do have the power to have a say in how Nigeria is run.

(2) Voter’s Card Is Your Weapon

Your voter’s card is the only tool you can use to end oppression, subjugation, bad leadership and other evil practices practiced by bad leaders. You can’t vote evil leaders out without voter’s card.

Voting is the opportunity to contribute to the political process, and the system was created to work best when everyone participates. Therefore, using your right to vote is not just an addition to the voter turnout statistics published by every major media site (which consistently show seniors as having the highest voter turnout — time for the youth to pick it up). Your vote actually matters and the nation wants and needs to hear your opinion. We live in a democracy (a term used lightly in our society). A democracy is a system of government in which the entirety of the population participates. So, participate!

(3) Voting Initiates Goodness

“Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the people and burn their behinds, then they will have to sit on their blisters.” – Abraham Lincoln

when evil leaders are voted out, it gives room for positive change through the election of new selfless leaders that would pilot the Nation in a new direction. Electing good leaders initiates numerous goodies that helps to maintain the welfare of the people.

(4) Voting Can Make Nigeria The Best Country On Earth

This point sounds hilarious but it holds the fact. No country can grow better without the popular participation of her citizens in the country’s political processes. Nigeria can grow to be the best if we all come together in one voice through election and say NO to bad leadership by voting out selfish leaders whose norms are bigotry, ethnic cleansing, selfishness, nepotism hostility toward perceived enemies, injustice and other negative acts.

Nigeria has every required resources to become the best country on earth but who will manger them, If we all refuse to elect good leaders that would take us to the highest level?

Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country.

Let wake up from our slumber irrespective of our cultural & religious differences and arm ourselves with voter’s card to fight for our right! Our Nation! The future of Nigeria is in our hands.
