It's a plus one for the family and when I say plus one I don't only mean a birthday but an addition of one person to the family.
Child birth is very rampant and naming ceremonies are one of the most attended occasions in africa, I should state Nigeria as my quote.
Most at times men in africa feel very proud to say this is my child but most of them never even attended to their wife's, girlfriends and baby mama during their pregnancy stage, some even find their spouse irritating just because they increased in size or look out of shape due to the pregnancy.
It is important to know that not all woman have the strength to delivery their child some because their body is fragile, some because they carry more than one child, some its because of health complications, in order not to lose them, they are adviced to give birth through the ceseraen section, an operation that makes child birth seem like a night mare but with the hope of seen her child she gives it her all, she is opened up just to allow her child come to life, to hold onto the beautiful little creature and cry for joy.
Days after she stays stomach empty, filled up with drips, and stays out of the comfort of her home to sleep on an hospital bed just to regain her strength.
After all the whole trouble she Is left with a scar, though her scar adds to her beauty.
Her child becomes her beauty, her reference, her world.
PS: if you do not show or give your mother the respect she deserves, you need to apologise and start doing that.
If you are a man and reading this whether married or not learn to appreciate the one God made out of your own ribs and give time to that which was made of your blood and flesh..
