My thoughts as a Nigerian
Nigeria don't change with time
Nigeria is still backwards
Running outdated curriculums in school
No changes in the constitution
Times have changed, always be ready to change with it and adapt to new things
Probably the greatest reason for poverty presently is disruption
Businesses are being disrupted and with that, individuals are losing their Livelihood and jobs
I heard the Nigerian Senate has refused to pass a bill as for electric vehicles. I read Ben Bruce's tweet and I saw that Nigerians are really doing all that they can to remain poor (Don't accept that junk that Nigeria is a rich nation - We can possibly be rich)
Not like I care about the electric car bill, we don't even have electricity to charge our phones.
The world is moving away from petroleum derivatives however Nigeria is prospecting for oil and you wonder why destitution is expanding constantly. Ehn? Why are you wondering!!!
Our colleges/universities are running educational plans that are outdated, plans that are based on what was realistic in the 60's despite the fact that our reality has changed enormously from the 60's.
That is on a national level. Shouldn't something be said about individual levels?
Individuals are simply following the fleeting trend; doing what every other person is doing and afterward asking why their children are jobless like each other family kids.
Families that have little assets squander them on "obsolete" training; burning through millions on "pointless" college instruction when a little 1% of that sum spent on Udemy or Coursera or Youtube will prepare their children to be moguls in under 10 years.
What's going on?
People don't comprehend the fact times have changed and everything is Very expensive.
People are suffering and dying, they are biting dust and managing on little or nothing. They have just refused to pause and ask ourselves basic questions.
The circumstances are different yet we would not change our instructive framework to set up our children for the evolving times.
I've picked an alternate way...
No one should set up their children for a world that does not exist anymore.
** I will set them up for tomorrow.**
Are you willing to do the same?
Change with time
Stay focused
Stay motivated
