the controversial hate speech bill has passed second reading.
In my opinion, the hate speech bill is unreasonable. The idea is of it is dangerous and undemocratic in this part of the world.
The government exist to protect our rights and serve our interest. I don't need to be a politician to know what is right or wrong in my country. We have bigger problems to attend to.
We have roads that need to be fixed
We have hospitals that need to function
We have children that need to be loved
We have people who go to bed at night with one eye open
We have youths whose shoes wake them up daily saying "Get up. Its time to look for a job."
We have so many bulbs and wires in this country that if they could speak, every credit would be given to the generators.
It is sickening that a country such as Nigeria is where she is today.
The ones we chose as representatives are trying to gag our right to speech.
One question,
If they can initiate a bill prescribing death sentence for hate speech, what about those found guilty of corruption?
