Dear Nigerians in Steemit

Dear Nigerians in Steemit,
It is important that we get a lot of good people and value adders into steemit.

I'm happy that the "yahoo boys" didn't discover it first and the Nigerians who became popular in Steemit, people like @surpassinggoogle and @infovore gave Nigerians a good name.

I hear that in fiverr you have to lie that you are from somewhere else in order to be able to sell your gigs. If you say that you are Nigerian, people will not buy from you because they will think that you are a scammer.

Please Nigerians I beg you. This is one chance we have to make things right and give the world good things to say about us. A good perception of us.

See yourselves as ambassadors of your nation. Make your post with pride. Do not beg. Never! We have talents. Put your best foot forward. Don't envy anyone. Say the truth at all times. Dream big but of you are going to make a superfluous promise do so with a disclaimer. Deliver more than you promise.

Don't dupe people, think long term. Don't sell your integrity for a few dollars.

Make a name for yourself here. When you are gone let us miss you for something. Do good!

Our fathers may have failed us but we have the opportunity to build a better world for our children.

This is my admonition to myself. I thought I might as well share with everyone else.

Thank you very much.

Sundayselfies is a fantastic way to show love and give to the people you care about in Steemit.

It's a weekly selfie challenge that spans the entire week. It opens on Sunday and closes on Saturday.

True. I'm so use to seeing something from Nigeria and ignoring it. I hope the people here in Steemit can change that reputation that has developed in that country.

Very good motivation @tojukaka . . Greetings from indonesia friend. Hopefully blessed.

Follow me and enjoy Resteem Service @jossylink

you are a good ambassador and I hope people will listen. it is so easy to get a bad reputation and so hard to build it up again!!

Great article, @tojukaka! I have upvoted and resteemed this post to help you get the word out. Cheers!

These are powerful words, not only for the people of your country but for everyone. I hope Light comes for all of us. I send you greetings from México, nice to find this post!! :)

Thank you for this admonition. I can attest to the fiverr thing, no gig got sold as a Nigerian. I believe in myself and I'll always remember reputation (not the number) is important.@tojukaka

Lemme keep writing what I love and make new padis here. Invitations still rolling for steemitibadan.

@learnandteach01

Lol
Am just noticing it.
Steemit is the only place where no Nigerian has claimed a sixth sense to scam or spam.
Wow... This is a good development, just hope the yahoo boys should not come and spoil the record.

Nice..!And thanks to your post I just knowing that @infovore is a Nigerian

A very sad outcome for a people as dynamic and brilliant as Nigerian. Most Nigerians their taste and desire for the good things of life far outweigh the ability to acquire them legitimately. As a society, we dare not hold up a mirror to ourselves. We lack the objectivity to view ourselves dispassionately and tell ourselves some hard truths. Until that is done we will never take the necessary steps to right our wrongs and heal our society. Thank you for bringing this issue up @tojukaka

wao motivitional post
