US lawmakers proposed a bill that would prevent Trump from abolishing sanctions imposed on Russia
Republicans and Democrats have agreed on a proposal that would allow new sanctions on Russia, Iran and North Korea, and stop the efforts of US President Donald Trump, To lift sanctions imposed against Moscow, Reuters reported today.
The House of Representatives is expected to vote on a package of sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea on July 25, according to the US House of Representatives Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Mr McCarthy said the measures taken would "make them accountable for dangerous actions".
