Ten months ago I wrote what North Korea really wanted and today I can tell you what North Korea will actually get and whose the ultimate winner and loser on this matter.
North Korea wants:
- recognition of being a nuclear power
North Korea gets:
- sanctions to be removed by US
- financial subsidies by South Korea
- a guarantee that his regime will not be toppled by US, Russia, China, South Korea, and Japan.
In return North Korea will be de-nuclearized.
Winner:
- Trump - resolving a long-lasting nuclear threat issue that his predecessors failed to achieve.
Loser:
- China - North Korea sees China as a betrayer of their relationship, assisting US with the economic sanctions. Now North Korea will befriend with US and become a threat to his neighboring country, the big brother, China.
