I ended up in that field, did the whole intensive PA program and survived! Nuclear med is even more exclusive though isn't it? There is beauty and art in the nuc med images. PET scans are so colorful, and merged with MRIs so crisp and clear. I love finding art in medicine. In fact, it was one half of my first Masters degree before PA school.
