Jotunheimen

The second place on my exclusive list of the most beautiful places in Norway definitely belongs to the unique Svartisen glacier. This place connects two different worlds and is unique for several reasons. First, it is the second largest glacier in all of Norway. The tongue of the glacier called Engabreeneven 30 years ago it descended to the lake itself, creating an amazing postglacial landscape. The glacier is part of the Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park in the Saltfjellet Mountain Range, in the Nordland County. Secondly, to get to the glacier itself you have to either cross the fjord by boat with spectacular views of the glacier or get cross-country skis through the mountain range.
