How much time do you invest in your life, in your marriage, in your kids, your job and your friends?
I
No, don't mean that you have to calculate how many minutes or hours you use at different things. But have you ever stopped up and noticed if you are on autopilot or if you control and pay attention to what you do?
How often do you find yourself missing the exit sign on the highway, go to the kitchen and don't remember what your where to do. How much time do you need to think about how to eat, how to breath or how to drink. All this you do on autopilot. Have you ever tried to be there when you do this. Next time you will eat, try to notice how it feels, how the different tasts are, how the smell is, how the content is. Be aware of where you are and what you do. You will probably have a new experience. If you have kids, do you really listen or are you just there giving them the autopilot response.
If you set time to invest in yourself you don't need more time in a day. But you have to be more aware of what you do when you do it. Be there, experience what happens and what it makes you feel. If it feels god, love it. If it do not feel good. Find out why it does not. Pay attention to what makes you glad, do more of it. If it makes you unhappy, try something different. If you continue doing what you do you will end up where you are. Change your pattern, try new things. Try communicate with other words. Try doing things different. Get to know who you are, what you feel and what you want.
Best regards @everydaycoach
The idea of loving yourself can never be over emphasized as it goes a long way in determining the kind of life you would be living. It's only when you love yourself that you can get to share love to those around you. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF. Even the Master said it.
Yes even the grand master say that:-) I don’t think many people are aware of how self destructive negative thoughts are:-(
this is very good coach! I love what you are doing and where you are taking this!
Thank you for supporting @davemccoy
Dig it.
One of my favorite quotes comes from "The Richest Man In Babylon" by George S Clason which simply put is "Pay yourself first.".
I feel this translates not only in terms of financial means but also in terms of time, relationships and work etc.
So true:-) thanks for sharing. I have never read that book. but i'm a book lover so i might do one day:-)
Nice writeup keep it up
THANK you:-)
Hello @everydaycoach ,
This is really inspiring and worth paying attention to. You will surely love yourself more doing it.
Most people, when asked to list who they love most, they will never mention themselves. What a pity! Then how can they pay attention to what they dont even value.
So,the starting is to love oneself first, then other things will follow suit.
Its nice been your follower.
Thank you.
@unique18
That is so true:-) you most love yourself to be happy. If you go around without self love you will not have the winning smile that comes from your hart. This smile is contagious:-)
