To discover a city, new or visited before by walking is something I enjoy. Not sure I´m the best company, because my eyes wander around to get the most of it , I want to sit down often, take pictures and the company of a watch is not a friend of mine :) This weekend I went for a small trip with my youngest son and my mother to a city only three hours south, with train from here. The city called Kristiansand is known for some more sunny days then we are used to at Jaeren. We where lucky with great warm weather, we could stay outdoors to play ball, sunbathing and use pool outdoors. We stayed at this hotel, I can truly recommend https://www.scandichotels.no/hotell/norge/kristiansand/scandic-kristiansand-bystranda
We also had a trip to a zoo just outside the city, a (almost yearly)tradition for many families in generations since the really small start of the park in 1964. I think we need a break now, for like a decade or two ;)
Some pictures of the city from my point of view
This is truly a bizarre sight, Mc Donalds in this magnificently old building that used to be the bank of the city. Also, palm trees, in Norway we don´t have climate for palm trees outdoors all year ;) But I really think it is cool that Kristiansand has a now seven years old tradition to have palm trees outdoors in summertime. This picture remind me of cartoon, could be from Donald Duck :)
SLOW BRIDGE, a great place related artwork by the artist Anna Berthelsen and a team of 5300 children by age 0-16 years from kindergartens and schools. The children have described their dreams on each mirrored tile.
My great company on this trip, my youngest son Linus and my mother
It is great to show some of the sunny side of Norway :)

I hope so too! I visit NL, Austria, Germany, Spain and Switzerland last year and like them a lot especially NL! Norway I hear is one of the most developed of European countries. Would be nice to visit for a few days I guess.
Look at you and all these great photos, I love Norway :) Summer time looks nice in contrast to the typhoon I'm currently in. P.s. Cheers for Resteem-ing me last week :)

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing! :) Are those mirrors on the wall?
Thank you! Glad you liked them, yes it is small mirror tiles, with one drawing or a word on each of them. All about the dreams from 5300 children from the area :)
