For me, I think that upvoting to others is very important for two things :
Firstly for the good of the one who upvote since it allows him to win steem.
Secondly, it is good to help and encourage others to continue and give more.
For those who are ambitious and who want to succeed and go far he must accept small sums in the beginning it is normal and with time and work we can accumulate more and more.
For me personally I always try to uvote posts and comments that I like to enlarge my SP and also to encourage the person who posted.
