After the rain:
Queen had been wearing the woman for almost an hour now.
The rain had actually only lasted a few seconds. A few seconds that were not without effects.
The streets were devastated, the rain had stuck to everything she had touched. Slippery roads and insane pedestrians had caused numerous accidents.
The sun was starting to heat up and things and people were drying out. The trees were crystallized. The buildings were tinted with reddish varnish colours.
A fire engine made its way to the north-western districts of the city, the working-class neighbourhoods.
Queen judged the speed and driving of the large red truck to be more than dangerous.
The vehicle disappeared between the large white towers in the distance, from where a thick smoke as dark as it was disturbing escaped.
Queen spotted an old man watching the smoke with a pair of binoculars at the 3rd floor window of her private mansion.
The old bourgeois noticed Queen looking at him with an inquisitive look and saying in an excited tone:
"It's from the northwestern suburbs, it's the big telecom antennas, they caught fire at the same time as that damned rain!"
Queen sighed and resumed walking.
His burden seemed heavy to him but he held fast. He was only 28 years old, in perfect physical condition and had the will to arrive at the hospital.
