Hey steemians, if you read my introductory post, you’ll know I love novels. So today I’ll share some good reads with you guys. I’ll tell you about three trilogies, one for kids, one for the guys and one for the girls. You can figure out which is for who by yourself. I hope you like them .
1 META
WRITER: Tom Reynolds
SETTING: An Earth where people have powers
PLOT: This trilogy follows a sixteen year old high school kid, Connor Connolly. Some years before Connor was born, strange metal wristbands fell from the sky. These bands gave the people that wore them amazing abilities ranging from strength to flight to teleportation to any other kind of super power you’ve ever heard of. Ten years prior to the start of the novel, Connor loses his parents during a battle between two of the strongest super powered individuals. After the battle, all the bands were deactivated and the world went back to normal... until young Connor finds a pair in the woods and becomes the first man to own bands in ten years. Still learning to use his new abilities, Connor strives to save lives and generally be a hero for his city. Basically what any sixteen year old kid would do.
This book features battles that destroy city blocks, villains that seem way more powerful than the hero (like every super hero movie ever) and its very own batman figure. It’s a perfect superhero novel with enough action to satisfy its readers. A wonderful set of books to read
2 BROKEN EMPIRE
AUTHOR: Mark Lawrence
SETTING: A post apocalyptic Earth that restarted from scratch and is currently in medieval times
PLOT: This is basically my favorite novel of all time. It follows the life of young Jorg Ancrath, first born son of King Olidan Ancrath and heir to the throne. As a boy, Jorg, his mother and little brother were attacked by his uncle’s men on their way back from a journey. In a desperate attempt to save the heir, his guard threw him into a patch of briar thorns with hopes that he would be hidden from the assailants. Sadly Jorg hung there, poisoned and bleeding, and watched as his mother was raped and her throat was slit and his little brother was bashed on a rock. He listened to his mother’s screams as she tried to save her second son and he saw his little brother, silent and resigned to his fate, watching him too just before he died. Jorg passes out from blood loss shortly after. He was found the next morning and remained in a coma for weeks. On regaining consciousness, the first person he saw was his teacher. He asked him “Tutor, tell me, is vengeance an art or is it a science?”
This novel is an interesting read as Jorg is the antagonist but since it is his story, he seems a good man (kinda). Jorg is smart, ruthless and cunning and will let nothing get in the way of what he wants, be it man, woman or his own father. These books contain slight adult content and should be read by no one below sixteen
3 DEBT INHERITANCE
AUTHOR: PEPPER WINTERS
SETTING: Modern day London
PLOT: This set of books follow a woman, nila weaver, fragile fashion designer, heiress to her family empire and workaholic. On the night of her best show yet, her life is torn to pieces as her father offers her to a young man by the name of Jethro Hawk. That night becomes her last night of freedom as she is drugged and taken away to live the rest of her days as a slave to the Hawk family, the richest family in the whole of England. Nila is pulled into a cyclone of blood debts that span five hundred years. She becomes Jethro’s pet and charge, to be treated as he sees fit and to pay the blood debts that she had not, up until that night, known existed.
Torn from her family and threatened with their assassination if she doesn’t comply, fragile Nila grows into a fierce woman and takes her escape into her own hands. No one but she can her from the monsters that have her. She will do whatever is necessary to survive, even if it means seducing the monster that stole her and now owns her. After all, to fight monsters, one must become a monster. This set of novels are flooded with adult content, just so you know. So be careful when you read

Broken empire is one I would really like to read seems like it was inspired by everybody's favorite game of thrones, judging by the books cover... Meta would probably be a good read but I have a feeling it's the same cliche superhero shit I'm now used to... Debt inheritance the thought of reading it makes me go ugh!!! Nothing against feminine power and all that but if her captor who is supposed to be her husband isn't a psychopathic masochist then I see no point in reading it... If he is though now that would make a good read... You read left behind followed the series when I was younger stopped at book 10 or so if you haven't read that should see it...
broken empire is a good read. the characters are crazy and jorg is a genius. i'll read yours as soon as i get the chance
You and your books...great post bro
what can i say, if you multiply my age by 10, it wouldn't be as much as the number of novels i've read. thanks a lot
