Disclaimer: I'm not some sicko that gets off on death and gore. My dog caught this rabbit the other day and though it was sad to see the poor thing die a gruesome death; I was also very impressed with my dog who is nearly 16, on pain medication for his back and hindlegs, and can barely see. As such, I experienced very mixed emotions at the time and I felt a little twisted taking the photo and now posting it. On the other hand, death is a part of life and the bush is a very harsh, yet beautiful place - I think this photo captures that duality perfectly: there is something disturbingly beautiful about the poor thing laying to rest on the fallen leaves.
IT IS NATURAL THAT THOSE THINGS HAPPEN....
Nature can be pretty cruel at times but like you said; thats life. The image you took definitely speaks volumes on how gruesome and rough the bush can be but yet the rabbit can now rest in peace and forget all fears.
