Without further explaining the philosophy behind it, I'd like to announce an idea:
In order to fight against plagiarism on Steem, I decided to promote NSFW creators. I mean, not artists specifically, but those related to the sex industry - pornstars, camgirls and so on.
Sadly I couldn't do that on my regular account, because I don't want to expose my "true identity" to upvotes on NSFW content. Every other account I use on teh internets uses the same username, so it'd spread way too easily.
But obviously, I like hot girls and all that stuff ;) and I think that, even if in the end Steem is going to prove to be unable to support these girls financially, it'd be interesting to see, what happens if they can get a slice out of the reward pool pie.
And I'd like to be the part of it.
The implementation is simple: during the recent days, I checked the #nsfw tag on Steemit.com and immediately muted everyone who either claimed posted someone else's content (e.g. got it from Tumblr) or it was just blatantly obvious. From the rest, I gathered some names I could consider original.
These are currently @shonariver, @canditits95 and @o0pepper0o but I'd like to expand the list.
For them, I've set up an auto-voting mechanism on Streemian's Fanbase service and going to do the same for every other name I get.
That's all so far. Based on your responses, I'm going to add, remove names or adjust weight score, or add automated comments (e.g. summoning @originalworks) but that's going to happen later.
While I'm aware some of you are against autovotes, I think that in this context, it's actually beneficial for both the community and the girls involved.
[Moreover, all my earnings are going to go to Power Up so that I won't see any income on my personal behalf.]

This is a fantastic idea, and hopefully it'll help some of the smaller accounts grow up and get some more exposure. Perhaps literally. :P

Not a bad idea. The search on this website isn't the best at the moment, being google powered and all. It's hard enough to figure out who's creating original content and who's just reposting even with a dedicated search system.
Yeah it's tough but I could sort out some of the most frequently posting plagiarizing accounts.

I like it Mr. Booster! I have content from an old porn site I used to operate that I can re-use, but fresh, original content really stands out. Currently seeking a collaborator to work with producing new imagery, meanwhile recycling material to a new audience. I'll throw in a vote for @Azzura92 as well.
To be honest, my major preference is towards users who share content either about themselves, or made by themselves.
So if you'd like to work by sharing nsfw content made by others, and/or is about others, then sorry, but I'd prefer not to provide my upvotes.

Well, personally I'd keep it simplified. Autoupvotes, as well as some manual ones, and nothing else. I mean, I'm not doing it to gain a follower base, so I don't want to resteem and/or post.
The only thing I'd post are are weekly reports about who this account has upvoted.

Oh fuck yes, crypto talking is too fucking much, Steemit should be about everything, not only cryptocurrencies and libertarianism - while I'm fine with both, that is too narrow.
