On my last trip to Margarita Island in Venezuela, I was able to appreciate these iguanas. One of them, almost imperceptible, faded with plant's green color. Despite their size, they can move quickly between plants and are excellent climbers.
When you have the opportunity to see one of them be careful, if they feel threatened they can whip you with their tail.
Camara: Moto G3.
Not an easy task to catch iguana, even from pretty far away

Is it a lizard? It's amazing!
Yes, it is. Lizards are a suborder of reptiles that includes most of the current reptiles, such as iguanas. They are fascinating!
I may not have seen the iguana perched up on the bush like that if you hadn't mentioned it was there. If they wield a mighty tail, it would be challenging to move in any closer. Pity you didn't have a zoom lens. Would love to have seen one of them in more detail. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Yes. You're right. I also didn't want to go any closer so as not to scare them away. I hope the next time be prepared with a better camera.
