This is a side project of the Rise of Homo Mechanicus series where i wanted to experiment further with the sci fi element in my artwork. I was inspired by the famous painting Death of Marat by David and visualized him as a character of the HM revolution. It was the first time i printed a HR photo of the painting on hardboard and worked my collage on it. A creative procedure where i outlined on a transparent paper the parts i wanted to collage and then painted with black colour the parts on the print. Then i started pasting the pieces using my stained glass technique with the transparent paper as the guide. I enjoyed making this artwork and i am thinking of creating a gif animation to bring it in my new digital age.
Details
It's a very interesting artwork. It transforms the painting "The Death of Marat" into an amazing sci-fi art. I especially like the detail such as the lens at the pocket and on the table.
The controversy between the classic background from the original painting and metal robot is very strong and astonishing. I would like to see more description of your concept. I really enjoy your great work.

Thank you very much @catwomanteresa:) The concept was to continue my sci-fi collage series and to try to merge the futuristic with the classic in harmonius result. I made the Mona Lisa also but unfortunally i do not have photos.

A very modern take of this famous painting. It looks like a great cover for a dysutopian scifi book :).
Thank you @scrawly:) I would be really happy to see it as a cover:)
It really seems after becoming a curator of @ntopaz I;m gonna get a lot of new knowledge outside of solely photography. But it very likely would help me to extend my art as well :) Very interesting technique you have used creating this piece of art

Wonderful concept @georgeboya. The painting Death of Marat is still recognizable but what a transformation he's undergone. Could be modified to work well as an Anti-Vac poster.

This is really a wonderful piece and I'm very familiar with the original you used to base it on, so well done.
I love playing with robotics in an old school way, one of the reasons I sort of dabbled in it in my Singularity painted series. I hope to get back to it some day. But it does seem to be the zeitgeist or something in the air we artists are picking up on that androids, a.i. and the like are slipping more into our world.
Great piece.
Yes, i think that nowdays and through the net as a mean of communication and information, we are inspired by the same things. Androids, AI, algorithms are fascinating subjects which a sensitive artist pick up and gets inspired to create. I would check the Singularity series, i am very curious:)
your collage arts is always amazing !
