It is often believe that to be creative on paper with a pen is not an easy task but I believe that in this world, there is nothing impossible and difficult to do when there is determination. In my work of art, I have always wanted to create the best and am striving so hard to get to that point in time when I will become a professional in my passion for art.
This Pen ✒ Portrait lasted me over 2weeks to complete it as I dedicated my entire time to create something unique and genuine. I will be explaining the process to below.
The materials used are:
Pencil ✏
Pen ✒
Eraser
Mechanical Pencil
Electric eraser
Sharpener
Chalk pastel
Tippex
In creating my sketch, I made my grid lines with a mechanical eraser and a ruler on my paper and I made the outline of the image as shown in the picture.
I shaded the face with a coloured pen shading box by box and gradually so as to get the desired tone and tint
I shaded the hair with a black pen and tippex to show the light and strands of the hair
I used chalk pastel to color the dress 👗
I used the electric eraser to create highlights on the dress
I used the normal eraser for final blending on the work setting it for the final stage.
This was the process I followed in making this portrait.
With love and an artistic view on life until next blog ,when I will be showing and giving more illustration though the making of a good 3D effect portraitures.
I will appreciate your love /vote /comment for my artistic view on Steemit life is highly appreciated.......and I really want to use my works to make impact.

It was worth to spent 2 weeks qkayda-ventures the result is beautiful, I really enjoy the process of your work, I remember from the Art classes to keep the proportion right to use grid technique. I found it very helpful especially if someone really wants to reach perfection and try not to use eraser. That is way when I use grid technique I apply it with pastel that is easily been taken off with kneatable eraser. Doing pencil portrait that takes time as you can't color quickly the large surface, but it is a precise medium and if you are patient with it you can gain beautiful results :)
You are absolutely right. Grid lines make easy perfection for drawings and it's faster too in guiding where to start and where to end. I make use of free hands too but now am so addicted to using grids regardless of the time that will be spent on the grid making. And to painting, much time needs to be given to have a good quality work.... I respect you
