Hi, There are some metro stations in Moscow that are designed emphatically with glorious decor, from chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to magnificent artwork worthy of a place in the renaissance years.

The Mayakovskaya Metro station serves as a good example: domed arches, mosaic designs and a setting of a luxury hotel.

Over 80 years old, the opulent Moscow metro stations were designed to bring palaces to the people. They deserve a visit even if you don’t use them.
