The first time I met a wolf I was a child. I was walking with my sister close to our home in the little village where I was born. That village was between some forests and so it was common for us to walk in the small roads between the nature. One day a couple of little wolves was in front of us. We were children, but also those wolf were little ones and so they ran away very fast.
I met other wolves also during my adult age, because I lived for many years on the mountain and so it was common to see them on the roads while they were running from side to side of the forest. Just some seconds, usually in the night, watching each other in silence before to run away, everyone along his/her own way. Magical.
I can say I love this animal. Sure, I perfectly know they can be dangerous, but they are really wonderful creature and, fo rme, the symbol of my forest.
This morning I painted this wolf in blue, it's an oil painting on paper (200 gsm paper in A4 size) and I hope you like it.
See ya soon
Silvia
Wolf is character with very high symbolic value. Lovely artwork, i think it captures more the wolf's magical and mysterious nature than the dangerous one:)

When I met them it was magical, few second of something I can't describe and so I used my painting to represent that feeling ^_^
Yes i think your artwork is capturing your feeling and experience. I never met a wolf in such a close encounter, it must be dangerous and thrilling. Wolf puppies on the other hand must have been cute i think:)
I too love wolves! The first one I met was at a friend's house- they had it as a pet. They told me to sit still and not to make any sudden moves, but the wolf came over and sat his head in my lap. Boy were they surprised. Animals can sense a kindred spirit!
I totally agree with you: animals can sense a kindred spirit! Every time I met a wolf I had a sort of alert in my mind: stay quiet, stay in silent, don't move anything. They understood I was not dangerous and so, after an intense look, they used to run away, but it was always a sort of magical connection, even if just for some seconds. A warm hug to you and Bruno, dear friend ^_^
Thank you dear Silvia- big hugs back!!! It was a really special moment when that wolf put his head in my lap and I got to pet him.
