There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D

I'm loving your move into colour, although that last sketch is so wonderful. It is so buoyant and full of life. Her pose and composition is just so vibrant and your pencil work is brillant.
It must keep you busy being a curator. Great job!
Thank you, Donna :D Watercolours are really quite happifying :D
Curating does take a bit of time, haha... but I think it's a passion with me. I like to promote artists ... when I can :)
Cool, found this just now via @katharsisdrill. I remember drawing one's first memory was an assignment we had to do when I studied painting. It's been about 20 years since I did that assignment :P but I still have that drawing somewhere in my archives! I may give this a go again!
What an interesting theme... I wonder what people will bring to this contest :).
Your watercolour art is lovely, spider. I like it the most in the middle of the process when you showed the colourful grass. I think you keep improving with every art though, so keep doing it :D.
i hope people will bring all sorts of creative entries :D :D :D
and thank you, @scrawly! i am learning a lot hahaha~

This looks like a great contest. And as usual, your art displays some great examples of it.
Thanks ! I hope there will be good participation :D :D :D
Beautiful painting! I didn't recognize this was your work at first because I got used to your sketches :D Love the colors! So lovely to know @shibasaki gave tips. Artists helping artists <3 The vibe of this one is so calming.. I can imagine myself being here and just feeling the warmth and the wind and not thinking of any problems at all.
yesh, he was doing a livestream and he gave a lot of good tips :D i am always learning and feeling like i'm growing a lot when i watch his videos XD
thanks for the kind comments, hiddi <3 you are very sweet * ___ *
Great! Inviting @mellindor and ... I will not say anymore for now. Silence. My best armor. Yup, bump into my no-talking shell.
....and........ AND YOURSELF? RIGHT??? that's what you wanted to say??? :D
I hope to see both of your participation!! OH YES <3
I ... nothing ...
Such a fun theme Liske!!!
Im glad you think so, lailai <3 <3 <3
I do! I do!
I looked yesterday at the ntopaz website but couldn't find upload and didn't understand much about it. Then I added /upload after the link but it didn't made sense how it works...
Maybe I give it a try if they fix usability or Im just too tired to understand
Great drawings @veryspider !
Hi Sander, if you join the discord, there is a guideline on how to navigate around nTopaz :)
Here is the discord: https://discord.gg/bycktuE
And, thank you !!! :D
Ok will look into that :) Thanks!
Finally found upload button the image of the button doesn't show in firefox lol
Lovely colours in your painting spider, the little flog of birds is a picture that always accompanies my childhood memories:) Interesting idea for a contest and i would gladly take part, i have some ideas:)
Did you played RPG???? Me tooooo:):) Which ones did you played?
I played SO .... so so so many ! Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy (so many of them), Tales of Vesperia, Magna Carta, Star Ocean 4, Lost Odyssey, etc. etc. etc.
I am glad to hear that you like the theme :D I look forward to seeing your entries <3
Ohhhhhh, so many! i ve played Final Fantasy 7, i think but none of them. Actualy i thought you were talking about tabletop RPG games:)
i need friends to teach me board games . __ .
I ll be glad to teach you Spider, we are playing a lot of board games and the tabletop rpg's were our life 20 years ago!:)
aaaaah that's so cool :>
my friends taught me how to play Mafia/Werewolves but that's as far as I got, with board games :D
Ohhh, Mafia! I think i remember that:)

That's such a fantastic theme @veryspider. I'm sure there will be lots of interest in this contest, as we all have our different memories of childhood. Some really pleasant ones and other's we would prefer to forget. It may even be a healing process for some people to recall their childhood memories.
I love the drawings, especially the last last pencil drawing. And the overlapping multitude of colours in your painting is lovely and free. Like @scrawly I like the earlier stages the best. It's SO hard to keep those light areas in watercolour. But you've done it really well with the texture of the trees. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Thank you, Ally! I am hoping this contest will motivate even more people to discover nTopaz, as maybe Topaz tokens are not well understood yet by Steemians, but everyone should be inspired by the additional Steem prizes :D
I am glad to hear you think the theme is also inviting \o/
I hope to see a variation of all sorts of childhood memories being brought out through a process of creativity, and hopefully, in some, it can also be a process of reconciliation and healing....
And yes, the early stages seem to be the most fluid... But I am learning bits by bits on how to understand watercolours! (i think)
I did a mini-workshop on artist-journaling this morning Spider. Was a great way of being really free with watercolour ~ Amongst other techniques. Was great for the 'child' to come out and play. Which hopefully your contest will really encourage.
Just thinking about your contest has brought a few childhood memories to the surface ~ A lot about water and my love for water. Can't promise but if I can find some 'quality art time', I'll try to come up with something for you. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Aaah i look forward to it, Ally <3 and yes, it is nice when the inner child comes out to play :D

LOVE YOUR WATERCOLOUR PAINTING :-D
Thank you so much dear @carolineschell <3 <3 <3
Pretty pretty painting! I especially like how you painted the sky with a bit green \o/ I guess the sky is never just blue, that's what makes it so interesting... One time I came out of the house and everything was orange, not just the sky haha
Ahhh, childhood themed contest seems a lot of fun! Just thinking about my childhood makes me want to be a kid again, play under the burning sun and get hella sunburned, play hide and seek at night because it's more challenging despite the sneks that might come to join us :<
the sneks! oh no! i hope kothy was never bitten > __ <
and yesh, the sky is all sorts of colours so that was a pretty great tip from @shibasaki :D :D :D
will kothy join the contest????? :D :D :D
Luckily, we were never bitten :>
And I'd love to! Specially since the deadline is still 'till March, I still have time to
procrastinatecome up with a nice concept > u <Beautiful view and nice photography ...!
Thanks very much :D !!!
I hope I have done it the right way. The Ntopaz interface was a bit confusing for me. The first sketch came up as the thumbnail for example.
Yes, you did ! Thank you for entering <3
If you have any questions about the nTopaz interface, you can ask me at any time :)
Great contest @veryspider, and I really love your piece. This subject is exactly on point for me these days so if I can get it together I'm going to make a piece.
I should join this one. I keep meaning to do an @ntopaz contest. I've loved sharing my work via them, so I should do. I love yours, but I think I already commented that somehwere? So tired, can't remember if I commented on this thread already :/
