IMO, Professor Dawkins offered a very plausible theory on the origin of humankind on Earth. I don't think he was being arrogant. He was simply stating an objective assessment based upon his observations. With all due respect, the people who show hubris are those who dogmatically insist their own religion is the only truth and all other religions or theories are false. Wars have been fought and millions have died because of that kind of thinking. We need to be tolerant, if not accepting, of other viewpoints.

Sometimes religion is instrumentalised by the elite. But wars have never been fought because of religions, this is a big lie told by the elites to hide the blood on their hands - and to compromise religion.
Yes, that's basically what I was trying to say. The so-called 'elites' use religion (Christian vs Isam) and race (black vs white) to incite hate and conflict among the populace. But, we must be careful not to fall for that trap.
How many wars have been fought or conflicts 'solved' since the 20th century without religion? Probably a magnitude more people died from conflicts that had 'no religion' / cause than from religious causes.
