Help me out here, as I'm new. But is there an expectation on behalf of the poster to provide some evidence for due diligence? This claim has already been fact checked and shown to be a rumor originally circulated on fake news sites.

Just Google it "almostfamous", it is listed on credible websites or I wouldn't have posted it!
I googled it prior to posting as it sounded familiar from a couple of months ago. The first thing that came up from my search query was an article explaining that the origins of the article are from a fake news site. Credible news sites have been fooled more than once.
All valued points gentlemen and of course now I can't find the link but will in the future!
It would be helpful if you provided the summary in your post though - even a link to where you read it would be great. Otherwise, what is the point if you are just telling your readers to leave your post to Google the information elsewhere? Not likely to garner many upvotes that way IMO.
