Conspiracy nut-job !
These are clearly just coincidences !
Laughing of course ! Great post, didn't know about Astana at all (knew it was the capital but not much more, and even less about the buildings and symbolism of the whole city-center). The free-masons influence is so blatant I laughed a few times reading your post.
But who am I to judge ? I'm French and everything here is reference to free-masons : our architecture, our decoration inside official buildings, our country's motto (which is the motto of the free-masons) and even our country's name which is the french name for the free-masons (Franc-maçons).
But one thing is sure : this f*ckers sure know how to build things :D That's far from ugly, even if it's a bit too modern for me...
Ha, you know it!
They sure do know how to build though, you're absolutely right.
I sorta got obsessed with this post as, of course, I didn't really know anything about Kazakhstan at all. SO, it was quite fascinating and I hope i can make another post on the country, culture, politics and people down the line. I wanted just to show the symbolism but even then I had to leave out a lot.
I was saying WTF to myself almost the entire time as Astana is just overflowing with symbols.
I don't know enough about France's architecture but I did look at Paris briefly for masonic symbolism and, yeah, there's shit ton. Lol, I'm looking at a few European cities atm too. Maybe I'll do another one in the future but I don't know if any other city is as overt as this.
I'm looking forward to a more in-depth look at Kazakhstan then, these central Asian countries are really fascinating in every aspect as they're like the "center" of all cultures, so with various influences on top of their own. And as someone said in the comments, mentionneing Khazaria, also the birthplace of all our current "rulers".
For Astana, yes it's really blatant here as it's recent. I can understand your surprise going through all of this and discovering more symbolism with each new building, each new map, each new glance. I think in older times they had to satisfy everyone (clergy, artistocracy) so they had to put a leash on pure masonic symbolism. Looks like they don't really care anymore...
Once again, great work here ! Thanks a lot for putting time into this and sharing it !
