A front store entrance in rural Romania, 2018. Full sized image here
I remembered the face of Jack Nicholson in The Shining when I took this photograph. It was dead silent. Clouds were heavy. One could have smelled the incoming rain. No birds were flying, no people in sight. Only in the distance, a build-up of anxiety was about to burst. It seemed that way. That velvety red was augmenting some celestial unrest. I took the pictures and I felt like I photographed a ghost reunion.
The magic of everyday spaces.
Maybe you did. The photo alone isn't standing out so much, but with your text - that's some hard-hitting stuff. Again, good work!
BTW, what did you shot with?
Thanks! :) The usual gear: FujiXT10 with 23mm f1.4. This was shot at f5.6
I thought you were shooting with analog, but I guess those were just presets :)
Fuji Classic Chrome, in-body JPEG. :)
Jack Nicholson was perfect in The Shining. Great photo, great writing!
Indeed he was. Thanks a lot! :)
