''Winners are not those who never fail but those who never quit'' - Edwin Louis Cole
In my life I am motivated by the idea that ''if you keep trying you will end up living the life of your dreams''. I don't remember where I heard that quote from but it gives me some kicks to go forward. I discovered that in life most people want to win but the funny thing is few take the action to win. Most people want the shortcut to getting rich, the shortcut to be successful in life, the shortcut to be successful on Steemit, the shortcut to be a good public speaker, the shortcut to most things they perceive valuable and the list is endless.
Few people fail to realize that to win they have to put so much time and dedication. One should keep forward with their goals to win the game. Thomas Edison once said he didn't fail but just found 10 000 ways that didn't work. Whist what he said may not have happened the quote philosophy is so important to anyone who wants to succeed especially when its coming from a Thomas Edison who only went to school for about 3 months retiring when his teacher told his mother that he was mentally not capable. Edison's life is an inspiration to anyone who wants to succeed in life. He is one of the greatest inventors ever to have lived. This was as a result of his persistence and dedication to get his goals achieved. He is known to have brought us the light bulbs and many other inventions.See His Biography Here.
Your failures should teach you how to win next time. If you are afraid of failure I think making mistakes and learning from them is what will put you at a better level. Most people don't start their businesses they have been dreaming about because they see failure inside their heads. Its the same with an amateur public speaker who fears the unknown. Most do not give speeches because they are too self conscious and think of what others will think of their voice, attire or anything else which is not true in reality. Also most men fear to approach certain girls because they see them as high class and better than them. Before they approach the girl they see the girl rejecting them in their imagination. What they do not know is by imagining failure they have brought it inside their heads. Most people I know who are self-conscious do not realize that most people are too obsessed with their own insecurities that they have no time to check other peoples insecurities. In other words most people fail because they fear criticism but if they see the positive side of what they want they may end up living the life of their dreams. Success come to those who know what they want and how to get it.
As I said before people fear criticism but that is nothing. People may laugh at your failures but the truth is people laugh and will always laugh. The winners are those who are confident in themselves and can endure criticism. The solution to deal with critics is not to hide away from them but to have strong confidence. Next time when people laugh you, just acknowledge it as normal and move a step further. If you can deal with criticism and continue with your plans then you can achieve anything on this land. You should not be afraid to live the life of your dreams but work harder and harder to achieve it. Winners become winners because they manage to keep on trying hard with determination whilst being confident that they can achieve it.
“Winners are not afraid of losing. But losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.” - Robert T. Kiyosaki
Abraham Lincoln's persistence and hardworking story should be an inspiration to all those who want to make it in life. His life teaches us that hard work carries a seed of success with it and that failure should be a stepping stone to your success. He is now known as a former US President but few fail to recognize the efforts and energy he took to reach there. If one is to read his biography they will find out that his failures are so many than his successes. He failed so many times in his political career. Most people could have give up but he remained committed. His life teaches us that with desire, persistence and dedication anyone can reach their goals and anything can be achieved.

I have heard time and time again that successful people face rejection the most because they try the hardest. Makes me district myself off and get back in the saddle when I realize how hard it really is to make it and that I am not the only one. One rejection Is nothing.
yes yes true @twirble ....... I think rejection makes you stronger and more professional in your ventures. Most people fear it but I think there is no need to fear it for it builds. Even men like Henry Ford were rejected many times .
The lesson I learnt is : Keep moving forward ➡.

When I was younger, I feared criticism and judgment from others in a big way. I was afraid what people think of me, I was a people pleaser and I couldn't stand when someone was mad at me. I remember the pain this brought me. I felt like I am never enough and I didn't take on many opportunities because I was too afraid. Once I started to work on my self-acceptance and I break through the fear of rejection, I finally freed myself and found more peace in my life. I love the part of your post where you mention that as long as we work hard and put in the effort, we will eventually reach our desired goal. I do believe it too. We don't fail as long as we don't give up. Everything in between are only mistakes and learning curves.
what an inspiring comment from you. Moving from self-conscious to confidence is what everyone should do. We have no time to think about other peoples opinions of us for doing so is destroying the uniqueness in us. The fear of rejection is also one of the obstacles most people experience which results in one being nice but not good-mediocre life. Its great to hear from you that everything in between are only mistakes and learning curves. Thanks for sharing this
