Celebrating My First Month here on Steem it with a Mural Painting Exhibition

in #ocd-resteem7 years ago

A month? More like a year. There has been so much that has happened to me on my first month here on Steem it. A lot of learnings, discoveries and definitely opportunities.

Everyday, night and day, I never spent so much time thinking about what to do next. Because, everytime I do something here on Steem it, it really drives me to do more and more. Apparently, you'll be rewarded just by posting blogs. You can just see your wallet getting fat, and no platform could offer such thing side from Steem it.

Now, I'm celebrating my first month here on Steem it and I want to feed your eyes with an exhibition, a mural painting process as promised. First here on Steem it. So, guys. Brace yourself cause it's gonna be a rough ride.

A Mural Painting Process

THE LITTLE COFFEE FARMER

You might had checked out the Pre Mural Illustration for this piece on my past post. If not, please refer to this link below.

Now, let us begin the process

This was meant to be painted on a 20 foot wall of a cafe and bar, an establishment which is still under construction as we speak. So, before the establishment's opening, I bumped in to make this mural painting.

Took me 4 nights to finish this piece, some corners were difficult to access, but I still managed to finish the piece despite of severe fatigueness. Made it out with courage and a strong heart and thankful enough for not having any injuries or fall during the process. It was risky but it was all worth it.

Night 1

Started off with a sketch using colored chalks

IMG_20180421_203550.jpg

Since the wall was already primered with flat white waterbased latex paint, I proceeded with mixing colors with the same type of paint.

Coloring

IMG_20180422_002059.jpgIMG_20180422_013232.jpgIMG_20180422_050656.jpgIMG_20180422_050727.jpgIMG_20180422_053522.jpg

The first nights of every mural process is the most critical among the rest of the nights or day. Becausr you have to prep the wall and secure the sketches at thesame time accomplish your color mixings.

Take note of the words IMPROVISE, ADAPT, OVERCOME. because later on, the difficulty of your work won't be a problem anymore until you coup up with your own terrain.

Night 2

IMG_20180422_210629.jpgIMG_20180422_213901.jpgIMG_20180422_233243.jpgIMG_20180422_233318.jpgIMG_20180423_013300.jpgIMG_20180423_013318.jpgIMG_20180423_043048.jpgIMG_20180423_055021.jpgIMG_20180423_055039.jpgIMG_20180423_061132.jpg

As you can see, I covered more colors than of the 1st night. I already adapted to my own environment and managed to figure out personal reflexes along the process as well as depending on my own instinct.

Night 3

On the 2nd night, I finally filled all the colors on the piece, checked it out if it was what all I have desired and checked if there were few corners that were needed to be recoated. Fortunately, it was all okey. Now I proceeded with the outline.

This was the moment of truth. The final wave of the process

2018_0423_203135_007.JPG2018_0423_202646_001.JPG2018_0424_013957_002.JPG2018_0424_013858_001.JPGIMG_20180424_044633.jpgIMG_20180424_044727.jpgIMG_20180424_044822.jpgIMG_20180424_212946.jpgIMG_20180424_212957.jpg

I couldn't finish the whole outlining process for one night. I was too exhausted. Experienced over fatigueability, I felt it like my bones and muscles were crushing I, I just couldn't do it.

I needed one more night. Went home, rested then came back.

Finally, Night 4. The final night.

I just took lil' courage, even tho my whole body was soar, I pushed my self to finish the piece.

IMG_20180424_222908.jpg2018_0424_231308_003.JPG2018_0424_231314_004.JPG2018_0424_231340_005.JPG2018_0425_001605_001.JPG2018_0425_001612_002.JPG2018_0425_001916_005.JPG

As I was finishing the outline process, I didn't notice that I was already close to completing the whole piece. It felt like the final moments was like a countdown.

2018_0425_002652_007.JPG

When I finally finished the last of the leaves, I looked up on the wall. And I realised that I made it. I finished the piece.

2018_0425_002737_009.JPG

Tossed my middle finger on the wall! I was like "Fuck you wall! I made you a painting! And you got nothing to do about it! Cause you suck! And I rock!". You can't blame me, it was the most exhausting project I had for a very long time.

I was like "Damn, I can't believe I finished this bitch."

Sorry for my language, I guess I do have my rights, coz I owned the challenge.

This was the highlights of this piece after it was done

For those you who didn't knew. I worked on my Mural paintings 12-14 hours a day. Here's why. I believed that getting paid on a result is much more rewarding than getting paid per hour. I believe there is much more commitment and obvious dedication to work especially when others would credit your hardwork. Gaining more respect and honor for every work you finish.

Gives me the drive to go further.

That'll be all for now Steemians! It's been a good month for me here on steem it. Hopefully, the next days would be better and I promise to do more, exert more effort for you guys.

Peace be with you and more power to all Steem members!

XOXO

Thank you so much!

beautiful ...nice work

Thank you so muchhh

Wow! This is an amazing mural! Before I get ahead of it, happy first month anniversary! I know, it's exciting to actually post on steemit and be involved.. not just for money, but because I know there will be real interactions unlike on other platforms. Most people wouldn't be bothered to do more than clicking "like" or "upvote" button. It annoys me. Haha.

Anyways, your mural result is wonderful! A perfect style to go on the wall - I'm sure all bypassers will appreciate it. I only wish I could be there too. The colors are happy and cheerful without being overdone. It's just perfect. :) I'm glad I found you because now I can follow you for your future posts.

Cheers!
